Image
It’s been all things navigation today for the second day of our navigation and scrambling week. We headed over Y Garn and Foel Goch with the clouds coming and going. Perfect 😀

Navigation and Scrambling

Rum and I have been on Tryfan today with Tyler, Olivia, Alison, Will and James on the first day of our navigation and scrambling week. It was a stunning day and paddling was included 😀

MCI Prep

Image
I’ve been out with John today who is prepping for his MCI course. We roped Chris in as a willing volunteer and looked at some scrambling this morning in the drizzle before John lead us up Lighthouse Arete this afternoon in the sunshine. A great day 😀👍

Multi pitch trad climbing in the Llanberis Pass

Image
It’s been a beautiful summers day here in Eryri. Steve and I headed to the Pass on the second day of our multi pitch climbing course. We climbed Flying Buttress on Dinas Cromlech and then Crackstone Rib on Carreg Wastad. Ace! Thanks very much Steve.

A misty, moisty morning when cloudy was the weather.

I’ve been back out on the crags of home, working with Steven today on our multi pitch climbing course. We had a misty, moisty morning on Holyhead Mountain and then the sun came out as we headed to the sea cliffs of Rhoscolyn. Ace 😀

North Ridge of Tryfan

Image
I’ve been out with the Galvin family today, reminiscing about the adventures we regularly had together when the boys were small. It was a special birthday this year for Kate and she was keen to get back up Tryfan after a few years away. We cruised the North Ridge and got blasted by the strong Southerly winds on the summit. West Gully gave some shelter in descent and Mum and Dad gave the boys (and Sophie) a run for their money in zipping down for ice cream 😀 Ace - thanks very much all.

Filming in the Alps and a new Mountain Days Vlog

Image
I’ve been out in the Alps doing some filming work for Project Alpine Spirit. The project kicked off in 2019 as Becky Coles set out to climb all of the 4000m peaks in the Alps - there are 82 of them listed bye the UIAA - a feat that no British woman has done before and no all-female team has accomplished. Supported by Montane we are putting a film together of the challenge and this year have been Chamonix based whilst Becky aims to complete the last 11 summits. Here are a few snaps for your enjoyment - I also had time to put together my latest Vlog and I hope you enjoy it. Here is the YouTube link for the Vlog: https://youtu.be/XV-nf3ABzwU
