The Round of Coire Lagan was a grand finale for our second week here on Skye. We were treated to that wonderful combination of sunshine, clouds, sea and of course mountains. What a way to end the trip! Massive thanks to Rach, Claire, Fliss, Mark, Moz and of course David & Huw for a mega week. 

  There were bright skies from mid-afternoon onwards but that wasn’t the case this morning. With the rain pouring down we took the option of a team outing to our regular Skye poor weather haunt of  Spar Cave . We’ve added elements to the itinerary over the years and along with a long abseil into the zawn, a trip into the cave and a sea level scramble out we set up a Tyrolean traverse across the zawn this time.

I’ve had a lovely day today, traversing Sgurr Nan Gillean with Claire and Rachel. We had perfect temperatures, dry rock and some lovely views and barely saw a soul all day. 

All change this week on Skye. We’ve had sleet on the tops, strong winds and some heavy rain low down. All a long way from last weeks sunshine! Nonetheless we’ve had a great day out with Mark and Mozz being looked after by David, Fliss with Huw and I teamed up with Claire. 

Congratulations to Tom and Laura who have rounded off a fine week on Skye with a two day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge with Huw. They did every summit and all of the climbs with a chilly bivvy on Thursday night - a fantastic achievement on the greatest mountaineering expedition in the UK. 

The Inaccessible Pinnacle today to round off our scrambling week on Skye. It’s been an incredible week and a massive thanks to everyone who joined us - mega! 

Doing the Dubhs today. You have to move quick to do it boat to boat including Sgurr Dubh Mor - which the team did. Great effort Lucy, John, Steve and Rich. What a mega day! Big thanks to Rusty @snowdoniawalkclimb and lovely to bump into @roam.mtns too.
