Spar Cave

 There were bright skies from mid-afternoon onwards but that wasn’t the case this morning. With the rain pouring down we took the option of a team outing to our regular Skye poor weather haunt of Spar Cave. We’ve added elements to the itinerary over the years and along with a long abseil into the zawn, a trip into the cave and a sea level scramble out we set up a Tyrolean traverse across the zawn this time.

Cuillin Ridge Traverse

Congratulations to Tom and Laura who have rounded off a fine week on Skye with a two day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge with Huw. They did every summit and all of the climbs with a chilly bivvy on Thursday night - a fantastic achievement on the greatest mountaineering expedition in the UK.
