I have been running our ML Assessment this week. Yesterday saw us head up Pen Yr Ole Wen and Carnedd Dafydd whilst today we were on Tryfan. We have had a true mix of weather but that has included some sunshine and lovely views! 

 We are running an ML training course this week. Here are some snaps from the first three days. 

  We’ve had a fairly wet and wild day today looking at all things steep ground in the Mountain Leader syllabus. Thankfully Cwm Idwal gave some shelter from the wind and Rab some protection from the rain

  Rum and I have been out with Sylvia, Nick and Mike today on our ML Refresher course. We enjoyed a mountain day on Y Garn and Foel Goch - Rum was particularly pleased to be bouncing around after being left at home whilst I’ve been playing with ropes for the last few weeks!

 J enny, Ian and I headed up Bastow Buttress and the North Tower on Tryfan today. The rock was a tad greasy at times but the atmospheric clouds made up for it and we largely stayed dry. A lovely couple of days, thanks very much both.

 I’ve been out with Jenny and Ian today on our advanced scrambling course. It’s been a day of rainbows and sunshine with some brisk winds this morning. We climbed Idwal Buttress into Idwal Staircase and then up the Cneifion Arête as the rock dried and the sun came out. Lovely!
