Rubha Hunish
A wee jolly boys outing in between scrambling courses on Skye and David, Huw and I have been to the far north of the island and the sea cliffs of Rubha Hunish. The sum total of the day's climbing was little more than thirty metres but that only tells a fraction of the day's story. Following a walk out to the headland through quite stunning coastal scenery the best fun of the day was in reaching Rubha Hunish's South Stack. Once established, and dry, on the stack, David had the job of leading us up the route of Willie Hunish on rock of slightly dubious quality. Having gained the sharp top, renewed the abseil tat, and taken the obligatory photographs the whole aquatic process was reversed in regaining the mainland. Wonderful fun!
