Skye Scrambling

We’ve kicked off our first Skye scrambling week with some beautiful weather. I teamed up with Rachel and Claire whilst Huw, Sandy and David teamed up with Tom, Laura, Steven, Ray, Kallie and Chris. 

Rachel did a single day traverse with me a couple of years ago but has always hankered after the full bivi experience ever since. Claire didn’t need persuading so we’ve just had two lovely days on the Southern end of the ridge with a bivvy on Sgurr Dubh Mor last night. Today we climbed Sgurr Alasdair and Sgurr Thearlaich before having a welcome paddle at Coire Lagan. A beautiful couple of days, thanks very much both.

Cuillin Ridge Traverse

Congratulations to Tom and Laura who have rounded off a fine week on Skye with a two day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge with Huw. They did every summit and all of the climbs with a chilly bivvy on Thursday night - a fantastic achievement on the greatest mountaineering expedition in the UK.
