Through the Swellies

A nice trip through the Swellies on the 2nd Jan. I left Felinheli at first light, catching the last of the North running tide to Menai Bridge. A cup of tea on a mooring buoy and a gentle sail towards Bangor saw the slack water arrive for me to row back through the Swellies. The wind picked up past Britannia bridge so I had a lovely sail to Caernarfon. An unpleasant motor against the tide saw me back at Felinheli before the water left the slipway. 30km trip and 5 1/2 hours out. Beautiful.
