Cabane de Bella Tolla to Gruben

Walkers Haute Route | Week Two | Day Three | Cabane de Bella Tolla to Gruben. We’ve had a day of ever changing scenery today, climbing up to 2789m and crossing over into German speaking Switzerland as we descended - our views dominated by the Bishorn and its glaciers dropping down into the valley. It’s been much cooler and a weather front has crept in through the day - as I type there is a steady rain falling which looks set to stay. Tomorrow will call for some flexibility in the plan!

Teaching winter mountaineering today with Fabio and Mark. It’s been a bit more blustery than of late so we stayed lower and got them on the sharp end in ascent and descent.
