Walkers Haute Route

Day One of the Walkers Haute Route today which for us is Verbier to Cabane Louvrie. I’m with Mark and Finn this week and we’ve had a beautiful first day, a bit cooler too which is welcome!













 Walkers Haute Route Day Two | Cabane da Louvie to Barrage de Dix. With thunder and lightning in the forecast we plumped for a dawn start this morning, enjoying a beautiful sunrise as we climbed up to 3000m and the first of two high cols. Mark and Finn are fit and strong and we made light work of the Grande Desert and then the Col de Prafleuri, having lunch opposite the hut before dropping down to the barrage. Storms incoming!

Cuillin Ridge Traverse

Congratulations to Tom and Laura who have rounded off a fine week on Skye with a two day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge with Huw. They did every summit and all of the climbs with a chilly bivvy on Thursday night - a fantastic achievement on the greatest mountaineering expedition in the UK.
