Learning to lead roped scrambles

I’ve been joined by Gareth and Stephen this week for our advanced scrambling learn to lead course. It’s been a stunning day and we headed up Dolmen Ridge, initially with me leading and then as the day progressed the boys took over. We descended Bristly Ridge, admiring the paragliders thermalling over Y Garn and enjoying warm rock in the sunshine. Wonderful.

Cuillin Ridge Traverse

Congratulations to Tom and Laura who have rounded off a fine week on Skye with a two day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge with Huw. They did every summit and all of the climbs with a chilly bivvy on Thursday night - a fantastic achievement on the greatest mountaineering expedition in the UK.
