Original Route

We headed into Cwm Idwal today and climbed Original Route on the Slabs. Lovely to see Tom and Laura who are also out with us this week with Stu. After some sociable climbing we abseiled into Seniors Gully, nipped up that and then enjoyed the Cneifion Arête. We even stayed dry all day!

Congratulations to Tom and Laura who have rounded off a fine week on Skye with a two day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge with Huw. They did every summit and all of the climbs with a chilly bivvy on Thursday night - a fantastic achievement on the greatest mountaineering expedition in the UK.

Teaching winter mountaineering today with Fabio and Mark. It’s been a bit more blustery than of late so we stayed lower and got them on the sharp end in ascent and descent.
