New Video: Circumnavigating Anglesey singlehanded in a 14ft sailing dinghy

Last autumn I bought a 14ft dinghy that was about 40 years old. Since then I have been teaching myself how to sail and exploring my local coastline. This is the story of my first multi-day adventure, sailing around Anglesey.

Anglesey has some of the fastest tidal races in the world due to its location, significant tidal range, and complex geology. Sailing all the way round the island takes some planning and some decent weather - it is almost impossible to get perfect conditions for all of it so inevitably there will be some bits that aren’t as comfortable as you might like!

This video is the first one on my channel to be sailing based and I hope the adventure from home appeals to viewers of my other videos. Rest assured though that more climbing flying and skiing videos will follow - perhaps combining all of the above with access via the sea. Sailing won’t be replacing anything I already do but it has opened up a whole new source of adventures and is another way of appreciating the beautiful place that we live.
