New Video: Mountain Leader Courses

I have put together a new video where I chat through the Mountain Leader Courses that we run here in North Wales in the mountains of Eryri/Snowdonia.

Mountain Leaders offer people an opportunity to explore the UK and Ireland’s highest mountains on foot, where spectacular views feed the soul, challenging terrain tests the body and making the right decisions is essential. Mountain Leaders can also lead walks in hill, moorland and lowland areas. Key info - Min. age for training: 18 - Min. age for assessment: 18 - Training: 6 days - Assessment: 5 days Ideal for: People who want to take groups into the mountains for single or multi-day hikes.

Teaching winter mountaineering

Teaching winter mountaineering today with Fabio and Mark. It’s been a bit more blustery than of late so we stayed lower and got them on the sharp end in ascent and descent.
