Penmaenbach Arete

 I’m out with Emma and Mark this week for our advanced scrambling learn to lead course. It was wet first thing so we headed to the coast where we enjoyed the Penmaenbach Arete Right Hand Route. Having been to the summit we nipped down and did the first two pitches again before doing a multi pitch abseil off. Mega.

Congratulations to Tom and Laura who have rounded off a fine week on Skye with a two day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge with Huw. They did every summit and all of the climbs with a chilly bivvy on Thursday night - a fantastic achievement on the greatest mountaineering expedition in the UK.

Teaching winter mountaineering

Teaching winter mountaineering today with Fabio and Mark. It’s been a bit more blustery than of late so we stayed lower and got them on the sharp end in ascent and descent.
